sunitha's mother throws away the water away the water in which pulses are soaked and as fresh water to eat before cooking is it right way to cook pulses?why?

Hi,

It's not the right way to cook pulses. She should have cooked them in the same water because many nutrients of the pulses are washed away through osmosis and reverse-osmosis.

Vitamin B and Vitamin C, which are water-soluble, are the most affected as they leach into the water used for soaking and cooking and are affected by exposure to sunlight and air and by prolonged heating.
