Given :- Sunitha wants to divide ₹ 3600 between her daughters Shreya and Sowmya in the ratio of 5:4 find how much Shreya and Sowmya will get ?

Solution :-

given that, ratio of Shreya and Sowmya sum is 4 : 5.

Let us assume that, shreya get Rs.4x and sowmya get Rs.5x .

Than,

→ shreya amount + sowmya amount = 3600

→ 4x + 5x = 3600

→ 9x = 3600

dividing both sides by 9,

→ x = 400.

Therefore,

→ share of shreya = 4x = 4 * 400 = Rs.1600 (Ans.)

→ share of sowmya = 5x = 5 * 400 = Rs.2000 (Ans.)

Hence, Shreya will get Rs.1600 and Sowmya will get Rs.2000 .
