if you waste sunlight ,(probably we're wasting 95% of sunlight source of energy everyday) it won't cost you anything or there may be no loss at all.
but if you waste the water, yeah it will be renewed but it takes years to get back but sunlight is not like that, it is 24/7. in drastic areas if you waste water the sentence you given will be not considered because it'll become a non renewable source. usage is important, as sunlight is ample but water is limited
