Sunlight appears white. However, rainbows, sunburn and the ability to see colors tell a different story.Explain what each of these tells us about the suns radiation and what property determines different colors.

As we know that sunlight is mixture of 7 colors, which we together call VIBGYOR.
- Sunlight is white in color because all the colors in sunlight i.e, VIBGYOR together constitute white light.
- Rainbows shows and proves that sunlight is mixture of seven colors.
- And in last, sunburn shows that sun radiation also consists of UV rays, 'cause only UV rays cause sun tan or sunburn.

The ability to see different colours that is, we see blue colour of sky, and various colours in surroundings.
This happens because sun's light is a combination of VIBGYOR, the colour of sun's VIBGYOR which is scattered the most is the colour we see. So ability to see different colours shows the scattering of light
