Answer:

as we all know that sun is the major source of light and it is the mixture of seven colours We See The Rainbow in the sky consisting of different colours that usually appear after the rain when the sunlight is low. also, the sky appears Orange or red during the sunset.

white light is called as White because it consists of seven colours. the sunlight splits into seven colours namely violet ,indigo, blue, green , orange and red

when these colours are mixed just get one light which is the white light . when we see e a white light coming from a glass prism it split into seven colours . the Prism splits the white light into seven different colours for the splitting of white light into many colour is called as a Dispersion of light which shows that the sunlight consists of seven colours.

sometime in the rainbow you may not see all the seven colours. this is because of the colour overlaps each other. the degree of blending of flights paths depend upon the angle that the incident beam of light make with the surface and the ratio between the refractive index of the two media and resulting in splitting all the seven colours present in the white light

hope it helps
