Hello!
An adjective has 3 forms of comparison:
» Positive
» Comparative
» Superlative
Superlative form of adjective is the most extreme out of all the three adjectives.
Eg: Ram is (tall)
Pam is (taller)
Tom is the (tallest)
The bracketed portion of the sentences are the different forms of adjective.
Tall --> Positive
Taller --> Comparative
Tallest --> Superlative
Here 'tallest' is the the superlative because it shows the most extreme form of tall.
NOTE: 'The' (an article) should always be present before the superlative form of adjective to denote it's power in the sentence.

Friend !
The are three types of degrees :
1 ) Positive.
2) Comparative.
3) Superlative.
# Superlative degree is a degree in which we show most extreme power or ability of adjective.
First, you want to know this.
If we get thick adj. We can classify it in 3 degrees of comparison. As,
Thick 》 Thicker 》 Thickest.
Why we use 'thickest' at the place of superlative degree ?
- it is because, when we write any adjective at the place of superlative degree, we write the form of ' est '.
Ohh..
But you want also know that,
All adjectives are not have est forms. But, they have written as,
Adj. :- Intelligent.
Intelligent 》More intelligent 》Most intelligent.
They don't have any 'est' form.
So, read it carefully and hope it helps you. because I don't give you only est forms but even, the uses of more and most.

Hope it helps u :)
