I am a fellow resident of Daman Nagar. I am writing to you to bring the attention of the concerned authorities towards the plan they announced about the destruction of the 'Blossom' playground and to build a new store on the land.
First and foremost, I'd want to emphasize the necessity of having a play space in the neighborhood. Our neighborhood's playground is the only recreational facility, and most of the kids assemble there in the evenings to play various games. Parents bring their children to the playground. It is not only an incredible source of amusement for children, but it also provides an opportunity for their parents to meet and form new relationships.
In today's world, playgrounds are an absolute necessity. Individuals of all ages, including elders especially young children, will be the most impacted groups. What a sorrow for the youngsters that are growing up! On our side, we won't have enough space to play and have fun! They will be deprived of the delights of playing outdoor activities due to a lack of open spaces, grounds, creativity-enhancing centres, and other factors, this will have an adverse effect on their physical growth and development.
Rather than taking the easy way out and eliminating "Blossom," I feel some measures must be taken to make the playground more useful. I would suggest that by allocating some of the budgets to run a renovation process and assisting it in a way that conforms to safety regulations. In addition, it is recommended that some police officers must be assigned the task of patrolling there in order to make it a desirable place for families.
I appeal to the concerned authorities through your publication to look into this matter and drop the idea of building a store on that land. I hope you will give my ideas of view enough space in your renowned newspaper.
