Step-by-step explanation:

Solution:

[Table is in the attachment]

1)

Let sugar crystal be 'x'

Here weight of sugar and number of sugar crystals are in direct proportion.

2/9x10^6= 5/x

Xx2= 5x9x10^6

X= (5x9x10^6)/2

X= (45 x 10^6)/2= 22.5× 10^6

X= 2.25x 10^7

Hence, number of sugar crystal is 2.25× 10^7

ii) Let sugar crystals be X.

Here weight of sugar and number of sugar crystals are in direct proportion.2/9x10^6 1.2/x

Xx2= 1.2x9x10^6

X= (1.2x9x10^6)/2

X= (0.6 x 9×10^6)

X

X= 5.4× 10^6

Hence, number of sugar crystal is =

5.4x 10^6
