Let the weight of sugar be x =2kg and no. Of crystals be y =9×10^6.And let the unknown quantity be n.It is a direct propotion.

1) x ÷y =5÷n

=2÷9×10^2 =5÷n

=n =5×9×10^6 ÷ 2

=n = 450×10^5

=n =225×10^5

=n = 2.25 ×10^7 crystals

2) x÷y = 1.2÷n

=2÷9×10^6 = 1.2÷n

=n =1.2×9×10^6 ÷2

=n =0.6×9×10^6

=n =5.4 × 10 ^6 crystals

You can do this with the help of making tabel and then solving.
