Because sound waves are mechanical longitudinal waves and mechanical waves require a medium , having the properties of inertia and elasticity , and in vacuum these properties are absent hence sound doesn't travel in vacuum.

Answer:

Hola...

Explanation:

I assume that your neat = hear

---------------------------------------------

We will not be able to listen a bell ringing in the vaccum because sound needs a medium to propagate.

Sound generally uses air as its medium to propagate.

In a vaccum there is no air, so the sound of the ringing bell will not be heard by us.
