Given info : Suppose a car's standard tires are replaced with tires 1.50 times larger in diameter.

To find : the reading of speedometer of car will be ..

solution : we know, the speedometer reads number of revolution per second of the tires. if the diamter of tire  increases then larger tire will takethe fewer time to cover the same distance.

   we know, v = ωR ⇒ ω = v/R

here you see, angular velocity is the inversely proportional to the radius tire ( or diameter of tire becuase diamer = 2 × radius).

if initial reading of speedometer is ω

then after replacing with tires 1.5 times larger in diameter, the reading of speedometer will be ω/1.5

therefore the reading of the speedometer will be 1.5 times too low. that is option (c)
