Hello
I think the total number of pages that were torn out is 5.
As the page starts with odd number .... so following pair we get...
1,2 lies on a single page....similarly 7&8 lies on a single page... therefore we count it as 1.
Now,again we have 99&100 as a pair .... so from this we get the second page ....now page number 101 is also torn out...that contributes to 3 page... In the same way 221&222 are pair and lies in a single page which contributes to 4th page and the last is 223&224 here this pair lies in a single page...Hence ,we conclude that total number of pages that were torn out is equal to 5....

HELLO DEAR,

I THINK MY ANSWER IS RIGHT

Five pages – pages 7 and 8 are either side of the same page.

100 and 101,

and 222 and 223,

are on different pages.

So pages numbered 99, 102, 221 and 224 would also have been lost,

I HOPE ITS HELP YOU DEAR,
THANKS
