here, favourable outcomes =4.
and total outcomes=6
@probability will be;
favourable outcomes /total no. of outcomes.
=4/6
=2/3...
hope you get the perfect answer with explanation...

Hey there!

When a die is rolled , There are three cases when the number on the top is a even number,

So, n ( S) =3
S = { 2 , 4 , 6 }

The probability that it is 4 , Let it be a event called " E "

E = { 4 }
n ( E) = 1 .

Probability that it is 4 = P ( E) = n( E) / n(S ) = 1/3 .

Therefore, The probability that when a dice is rolled, and even numbers is obtained, then probability that it will be 4 is 1/3
