A ‘new planet’ is discovered between “Uranus and Neptune”. Its ‘time period’ would be less than that of Neptune.

This is because Uranus is 2870 \times 10^{6}\ \mathrm{km} away from the Sun whereas Neptune is 4504 \times 10^{6}\ \mathrm{km} away.

Therefore the distance of the new planet would be between \bold{2870 \times 10^{6}\ \mathrm{km}} and \bold{4504 \times 10^{6}\ \mathrm{km}} that is less than that of Neptune. Hence it will be option (a) correct here.
