suppose a star which is 100 light years away explodes today,it is unlikely that we will be able to see the explosion .why?

It is because the explosion will be so huge that there are chances that our earth will blow away by the impact.

we cannot because it will take hundred years to see the explosion.For example if any star is exploded today it take us to hundred years to see it without any sound because sound is not propagate in space as u asked that the star is hundred light years so it will very much time.Because the distance is very far.
