Total distance covered by train:

5 hr x 40 km/hr = 200 km

3 hr x 45 km/hr = 135 km

5 hr x 60 km/hr = 300 km

Total Distance covered = 635 kms in 13 hours

Avg Speed : 635/13 = 48.85 km/hr

Explanation:

(8x+1)(x+8)

=(8x+1)(x+8)

=(8x)(x)+(8x)(8)+(1)(x)+(1)(8)

=8x2+64x+x+8

=8x2+65x+8
