Suppose a vine maple grows in height linearly. Four weeks after it is planted it stands 9.33 inches, and after seven weeks it is 13.33 inches tall. Write an equation that models the growth, in inches, of the vine maple as a function of time, in weeks.

Growth in 7- 4 = 3 Weeks  =  13.33 - 9.33

Growth in  3 Weeks = 4

Growth Per Week  = 4/3

Growth in 1st 4 Weeks = 4 * 4/3  = 16/3 = 5.33 inch

Height while plantation = 9.33 - 5.33 = 4 Inch

Height of vine maple =  4  + (4/3)w

H  = 4W/3  + 4

W = number of Weeks

H = Height of vine maple
