Suppose a year ago,you lent your favourite book to your cousin or friend who you thought would enjoy it.Unfortunately, your friend/ cousin has forgotten to return it.The book has sentimental value to you as it had been presented by your grandmother.Write a letter to your friend. In the letter:
ask how he is doing
remind him about the book
explain why you need it back

Dear Naveen:

I hope this letter finds you in great health and enjoying your holidays. Well, I have been enjoying mine holidays to the fullest. Just two days ago I came back after a refreshing week’s stay in the high mountains.

The prime motive behind writing to you is reminding you to return my book, The Autobiography of a Yogi by Parmhamsa Yogananda. This book is very special to me as this was gifted to me by my grandmother. She had given me this book to read it thoroughly and practice the philosophy taught in it. After her demise the book has assumed divine proportions for me.

Would you mind returning it to me? Kindly don’t mind my asking you to return it. I am sure you will understand the emotional significance related to the book. The rest is fine. Parnam to uncle and aunt.

Yours affectionately,

Bhuvnesh
