suppose i am travelling in a bus and i threw a ball upward, inside the bus only, if then suddenly the bus stops or attains brakes, then what will happen to the ball. with reason

when the bus is moving, the bus ,your body and the ball ,all are in motion and that time you threw the ball up. suddenly when the bus stops, your body which is in contact with bus also stops. but the ball due to inertia of motion( inertia of motion states that a moving body keeps on moving with the same speed in the same direction unless an external force is applied on it) keeps on moving, hence the ball will fall in front of you.
