What do you mean by " seen of two shaded triangles" ?
A trapezium will be formed according to your question , not the figure you have drawn.
with AD and BC as parallel sides and AB and DC as non parallel sides.
AD is 5cm ,BC IS 1cm then AD parallel to BC is equal to 5cm
