            y notes of 50 Rs.

             AND the sum is 2500 Rs.

NOW,

10x + 50y = 2500 -------------(1)

     50x + 10y = 2000 ------------(2)

adding-----(1) & ------(2)

we get,

50x + 10y = 2000

10x + 50y = 2500

2X + 2y = 150---------(3)

subtracting-----(1) & -----(2)

50x + 10y = 2000

10x + 50y = 2500

2x + 2y = 150

2y = 150 - 62.5

2y = 87.5

Y = 87.5/2

Y = 43.75
