Given:

Balance of trade = ₹20000 crores.

Imports is half the exports.

To find:

the value of exports.

Solution :

Balance of trade in surplus = ₹20,000crores.

Import = half of exports.

let the amount of exports be 'x'

balance \: of \: trade = exports  - imports

20000 = x -  \frac{x}{2}

20000 =  \frac{2x - x}{2}

20000 \times 2 = 1x

40000 = x

Therefore the amount of exports is 40000 crores.
