Suppose that the blackbody fluxes from a star measured on earth and at two different frequencies v and
v' are f. and f, respectively. Denote the blackbody fluxes at the star's photosphere by 9, and gr.
4. With reference to the approximation (valid for small solid angles) relating the flux at the photosphere with the
flux at earth, explain how the measured values (at the known frequencies) can be used to calculate both the
star's surface temperature and subtended solid angle.
