Suppose that Wing Commander abhinandan are 80 kg. If F-16 drops the support of M-21 and jumps to a height of 1000 m. If they fall freely to the height of half the height, then after getting slowed due to the parachute, they reach the final velocity of 10 m / s on the ground, then the work done by the resistance force will be:

Answer: The resistance force will be 8 N.

Explanation:

Given that,

Mass m = 80 kg

Height h = 1000 m

Final velocity v = 10 m/s

We know that,

Potential energy = kinetic energy

mgh=\dfrac{1}{2}mv^{2}

10\times 500\times 2= v^2

v = 100 m/s

Using equation of motion

v^2=u^2+2as

2as= 10^2-100^2

a = -9.9\ m/s^2

The resistance force is

F_{\mu}= mg+ma

F = 80(10-9.9)

F = 8 N

Hence, The resistance force will be 8 N.
