The resistance force will be 8 N.

Explanation:

The full question is given below:

Suppose that Wing Commander abhinandan are 80 kg. If F-16 drops the support of M-21 and jumps to a height of 1000 m. If they fall freely to the height of half the height, then after getting slowed due to the parachute, they reach the final velocity of 10 m / s on the ground, then the work done by the resistance force will be?

Given data :

m = 80 kg

h = 1000 m

v = 10 m/s

Potential energy = kinetic energy

mgh = 1 / 2 mv^2

10 x 500 x 2 = v^2

v = 100 ms^-1

Using equation of motion

v^2 = u^2 + 2aS

2aS = 10^2 - 100^2

a = -9.9 ms^-1

The resistance force is

F = mg + ma

F = 80 (10 - 9.9 )

F = 8N

Hence, The resistance force will be 8 N.
