Suppose that you work part-time as a sales representative at a car dealership. You
earn a base salary of $125 per week plus a 18% commission on all sales that you
make. Your best friend has exactly the same job at another car dealership but
earning a base salary of $85 per week plus a 21% commission on all sales. How
much do you and your friend need to sell in order to earn the same amount in any
given week?

Let x be the amount of goods sold after the base salary,

So, extra goods money make = 0.18x

For, the other friend = 0.21x

Now,

Total income should be the same

So,

125 + 0.18x = 85 +0.21x

40 = 1.03x

So,

x= 40/0.03

x=4000/3

x=1333.33

Hence, the amount to be sold is worth 1333.33 dollars

Hope this helps !!!!!!!!!
