Hey mate

Tides are at 12.5 hour interval

High tide 3:32 AM (3.5333 hours)

Low tide 9:47 AM (9.7833 hours)

(a)

Next high tide = 3.5333 + 12.5

= 16.0333

= 16h + 0.0333*60

= 16h02

= 4:02 PM

(b)

y = A*sin(Ω*x - Φ) + B

A = 8.8 - (-0.8) = 9.6

Ω = 2π/12.5 = 0.16π

Φ = (3.5333 + 9.7833)/2 - 12.5/2 = 0.4083

B = [8.8 - (-0.8)]/2 + (-0.8) = 4

(d)

y = 4.8sin[(0.16π)*16.0333 - 0.4083] + 4

= 8.70

hope it helps you
