If the sun was 10 times farther away from the earth then the following things will happen -

• The light rays from the sun will take much longer time to reach our planet and the intensity of the sun rays will decrease due to the increased travelling path.

• The increase in the distance will also increase the radius of the revolution orbit of the earth, around the sun. Which means earth will take longer time to complete a full revolution around the sun and the year will be longer than 365 days.

• The environmental activities in our planet which are directly or indirectly dependent on the solar radiation will be affected by this distance increase.

(Eg. Day and night expansion, Photosynthesis, climatic conditions etc.)

And many more.
