We can calculate the average =sum of the observations / number of observations
so x=10+12+20+11+6/5
x=59/5
x=11.8

Anyway, I didn't answered completely because:
Majority of what you are taught in the school WILL be of NO or Little use in your Life.
I had been a Topper and i could use only 12%. It was useless, in my experience.
Less than 20% and maybe less, is actually of any use in your Life. You are slogged away in school and then you will run after the Survival Rat race for a Job or College.
I AM saying this ,not to criticize school but to REMIND You and MOST school that they are supposed to do the No1 Job in the world. It is more important than a job of a President, PM, etc.
Math is about Problem Solving and finding patterns.
It is NEVER about CALCULATIONS. A calculator is better than that. SCHOOLs are committing crimes in Killing the minds of all ,who work hard to do calculations.
Math is beautiful, stop murdering it!
