If there's no meiosis and only mitotic division, then, for example, in humans, the parents will have two sets (2n) of chromosomes, ie, 46 chromosomes.
Their germ cells will be formed by mitosis. So, the no. of chromosomes in the male and female germ cells will be equal to the chromosomes no. of parents, ie, 46.
When fertilization takes place, the zygote will have 46 + 46 = 92 chromosomes but the cellular apparatus will not support a nucleus of 92 chromosomes and it will be die.
Hence, the organisms will not be able to reproduce sexually.
