Given : two vehicles collide to each other

To Find : after collision which quantity remains constant

1.Force

2.Velocity

3.Displacement

4. Total Momentum

Solution:

Conservation of momentum is used here

Hence total momentum remains constant

mass of 1st vehicle = m₁

mass of 2nd vehicle = m₂

Velocity of  1st vehicle before collision = u₁

Velocity of  2nd vehicle before collision = u₂

Velocity of  1st vehicle after collision = v₁

Velocity of  2nd vehicle after collision = v₂

Total Momentum before collision =  m₁u₁ + m₂u₂

Total  Momentum after collision =  m₁v₁ + m₂v₂

m₁u₁ + m₂u₂ = m₁v₁ + m₂v₂

Total  Momentum remains constant

Answer:

Conservation of momentum is used here Hence total momentum remains constant

mass of 1st vehicle = m₁

mass of 2nd vehicle = m₂

Velocity of 1st vehicle before collision

= U₁

Velocity of 2nd vehicle before collision = U₂

Velocity of 1st vehicle after collision = V₁

Velocity of 2nd vehicle after collision = V2

Total Momentum before collision = m₁u₁ +m₂u₂

Total Momentum after collision = m₁v₁ + m₂V₂

m₁u₁ + m₂u₂ = m₁v₁ + m₂V₂

Total Momentum remains constant.
