October 18, Madhupur bazzar was completely gutted by a huge fire at 8 pm. According to an eye witness, a fire broke out in a hotel of the Bazzar owing to the burst of a leaky gas cylinder. The people collected there tried to put out the fire but failed. As it was time of evening last so people were busy in buying and selling; they were not aware of such an incident when the fatal accident rocked the bazzar. The police rushed to the place and two Fire Brigade arrived within 15 minutes to negotiate with the situation. Finally, the fire was brought under control within 60 minutes. Goods and properties worth lakhs of rupees were gutted. No casualty was taken place.
