Steps for finding out the centre of a circle:

• Draw any 2 chords on the circle such that they are not parallel to each other.

• Construct perpendicular bisectors for each chord with the help of a compass.

• For drawing perpendicular bisectors, take radius of the compass more than half of the line and construct arcs on upside and downside of the line

• The point where the 2 perpendicular bisectors meet is the centre of the circle.

Here O is the centre of the circle.

AB and CD are chords of the circle.
