Dear friend,   I am happy to know that you want to write ghost stories. In this letter I will share some basic qualities needed.  First of all you must learn to create mystery and uncertainty in readers mind.  Then you must create horrible characters which are unique and scary.  Your biggest creation is the ghost, so work hard on developing his appearance, voice, powers etc.  Instead of copying any established writer, devise your own style which has never been used before. Use flashbacks and background plots to justify the evil deeds of the ghost.  If you can end the plot with a jaw dropping climax, you will definitely become a successful ghost writer.
