It was some time in mid 80z. I was 5+ and my elder brother was 7 and half. We are from a small town in western Odisha in India. And in 80s we do not had much amusing thing for growing kids. Limited shows in Durdarshan (TV ) , may be once or twice in a week for 30 mins. No Park, only play ground was school wards or in summer, some barren land without any fence. It was not lacklustre but not exiting as well.

Those days Kids and parent both had time, but not much thing to do. Every small means of joy had importance in life. Rathyatra, Pora, Durgapuja, Ganes Puja, Saraswatipuja , Independence day, Republic days and Nuakhai are some of the festivals in ununiformed intervals which use to bring joy to us. We do not had several channels in TV , no Mobile , No video game etc in those days.

Clearly I am not able to recall about the season, but it was not rainy days for obvious reason. There was Circus in the town. Posters were everywhere. Roaring lion, Jokers, lady on rope and ring rolling pictures on the poster. And it was so exciting for us to experience the show. Somehow Bapa ( Dad ) had a plan to take us to 1st day 1st show on the 1st row. For kid like me it was amazing experience to see the Jokers and those gymnastics performed by show ladies. Lion and ring master.. What an experience … the random walking of other characters in Shows with rhythm and pattern.. Sometime my tiny eyes later grabbed his nap there leaning to Maa. Shows ends and we return to home on my Dad’s Rajdoot ( a heavy Indian mother bike, Rajdoot literal meaning Royal Ambassador ). I might have slept on ride to home its self. Even do not have much memory on it.
