I was all excited to go back to my hometown after my trip to South Goa. Jumping out of the taxi and heaving my bag after paying the cab driver and moved towards the station entrance. After crossing the security barrier, I went to the nearest uniformed security and showed him my ticket. He glanced at me and thrust it back to me and said in a rough tone "Train is delayed by 10 hours. See the information counter".
I felt a sense of comfort, to go back to South Goa means another hour in a taxi, another 1000 Rupees spend and there was no assurance that the train will come soon. I made my way to the ladies waiting room and sat on a cold, hard bench, trying to decide what to do. I decided to find a place for my bag with hell lot of procedures for it.
Then I bought a tiny cup of chai, bananas and samosa and settled back in the waiting room. After some time I rolled on my yoga mat to lie on. I tugged my shawl around me and plugged headphones into my ears. I did not know when I slept. I woke up at 5 am by the sound of an express train. I went to the information desk to ask when my train will arrive. He told me "Train will come at 7 am. You wait". At last the train came, and I was so desperate to get into it. It was surely an unforgettable experience.
