Suppose you go to a tower of 80 m high and throw a ball horizontally with a velocity of 20m/s .what will be the shape of path followed by the ball?while falling,the motion of the ball will be a combination of two independent motion . Find these motions

According to the question we are at a height of 80 m and we have thrown the ball with 20m/s Horizontally , the word horizontally here is important and it means the path of ball will be parabolic *( See the attached figure above ↑)

The red line is the path travelled by ball .

There will be Horizontal Motion as the ball is thrown in that direction , also zero acceleration in horizontal direction . Vertical and Downward motion because of acceleration due to gravity ( g )
