Day 2, Monday.

Visit to a refugee camp was  really an inspirational one for me today. Today, I was able to see many refugees living under harsh and tough conditions of life,  from closely and able to talk to them.

I could be able to talk to the refugees who gathered in an area around Greece, and they  were given shelter by the soldiers who stayed there.  I asked them about how they derived the courage to stay away from their families after war like conditions and fight for their life.

They were literally thrown of from other countries.I could see the kind of life they lead in extreme weather conditions and ask them about many more. This refugee camp was deputed near Greece and I went there for my studies in Geography. It was an experience that I would never forget.

Rameshwaram

This was a hectic day. We have visited the refugee camp at Rameshwaram later this day around 3 Pm. That site has bothered me a lot. Most of those refugees were from Sri Lanka. Most of them were war refugees. Most of them have lost someone or the whole in their family to the war. Most of them were Tamils subjected to war crimes that occurred in the Sri Lankan civil war.

I have spoken to some refugees. They told many stories from their life. Most of them were utterly devastating and most of them were once actually took place in the norther part of Sri Lanka.

Their stories left me with my mouth shut in silence and eyes in tears.
