Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the which is saved in the interest of 10%,

⇒ The remaining which is saved in the interest of 15% = ( 12000 - x )

The total interest = The interest on the amount of x + The interest on the amount of (12000 - x)

=

According to the question,

The total interest = 12 % of 12000 = 0.12 of 12000 = 1440

⇒

Thus, the amount invested at the interest of 10% = x = 7200 rupees

And, the amount invested at the interest of 15% = 12000 - 7200 = 4800 rupees.
