When buying electrical equipment, the ISI logo or mark of quality must be seen on the equipment.

It is a certification given by the BIS or Bureau of Indian Standards which were previously known as ISI or Indian Standards Institute as per the BIS Act of 1996.

Any such product must be of minimum standards which states it is safe to use them.
