It was on 8th May as 7th was a holiday for the entire school, preparations for Rabindra Jayanti was up to mark there were different forms of dances ,drama,songs and even recitations were also prepared by the students to make the day memorable.
The school was celebrating 150th birthday anniversary of Rabindrath Tagore and in a honor the memory, students were so intensely preparing just to celebrate his 150th birthday.
The program ran for almost 3 hrs and the audience applauded their performance and it was a success for the students to make the occasion memorable.

An annual day function on the occassion of Rabindranath Tagore's 150th birthday anniversary was organised by Md Faizan Ahmed Makki on 7th May 2020 in the school auditorium of Islampur High school. The function started at 7:00 pm and lasted til 10:00 pm . Many students participated in it.
Many students performed dance show. Many students gave meaningful speech on different topics. Some students performed the stage drama. They performed many other activities on stage.
The SDO of Islampur sub-division Mrs. Alankrita Pandey (IAS) and the SSP of Islampur police district Shree Sachin Makkar(IPS) was invited as the chief guest. They delivered a speech there. They motivated the students. At last they was feeling happy there and appreciated school's effort. It was very successful event.
