Suppose you want to increase the dimensions of a 3 by 4 by 5 cu. ft box by a uniform measure. If you want to the new box to have a volume that is 3.5 times the volume of the original box, what must be the dimensions of the new box?

volume of first box=3*4*5=60,volume of new box=3.5*60=210,now 3x+4x+5x=12x=210, so,x=17.5 now dimension of new box is a=3x=52.5,b=4x=70,c=5x=87.5
