Dear Diary,

My dad, along with all of us, was invited to be the Chief Guest on Annual day of the Blind school. I kept wondering as to how such event would turn up. When we reached the school, two blind students came to welcome us. They put a tilak on our foreheads, exactly at the correct place and garlanded us. Then, they led us to our seats. It was as if they could see everything. The function started with lightning of the lamp and a small speech by a student to welcome all of us. There were dance performances, solo singing and a short skit based on the theme 'Save the environment'. All of us were flabbergasted as to how well they were performing in a coordinated way. Everything was managed very systematically. Hats off to such students who could do everything in a proper way inspite of being blind. They truly inspired me a lot.

‘Importance of Vitamin D’

The present century is the age of the Internet. Everything is done via the miracle of Internet. Though it has a lot of advantages yet it has done a lot of harm to the teenagers. They have become so dependent on the Internet that they do not like to move out of the house. They have stopped playing outside in the Sun. This has serious and long lasting effects on their body. The biggest cause of concern is that they are depriving themselves of sunlight which results in the deficiency of Vitamin-D in their bodies. It makes their bones weak and brittle. I think it is time that teenagers must realize the importance of going out to play so that they may get the required sunlight to make their bones stronger and, thus, lead healthier lives.
