Answer:1. I have never considered the importance of being on time or being punctual until this one incident that happened to me few years ago. Time is truly precious and being punctual have always been helpful in so many ways.

Few years ago I had a rival in my office who was aiming for the same project to be allotted as I was aiming for. She was in fact a very competitive colleague and I held no grudge against her. But  it was this project that both of us wanted to grab and only one was suppose to get  in-charge of it.

I was known by many in the office for my wit and my capabilities. I had an advantage against her as even our managers knew that. But on that day when the announcement for the project was suppose to take place, I reached office late.

The manager had given the project to my rival already. I hurriedly went inside his room asked him how did this happen so quickly. I told him that I got late because of some reasons but he simply said to me 'if you really wanted that project, you would have never reached late. Sheetal was on time because regardless of the slim chances she had she came on time.'

I stood there contemplating what my manager said and finally realized that I had really made a mistake. I congratulated Sheetal and honestly she did a great job with the project. But one thing I learnt that day was the importance of being punctual.

One might be smart and brilliant or even have an upper-hand in life, but without punctuality everything is futile. Therefore, we must always use our time wisely and understand the importance of being on time.
