When the interior of the Earth is no longer hot, then Plate Tectonics is dead. There will be no more volcanoes, earthquakes, and no new mountain building. Other Earth processes will remain the same - especially erosion, so in a few hundred million years, all the land on the planet will have eroded below sea level.

Eventually all the sediment for rocks will be in the sea, with no new material coming.
