Unitary method

Knowledge cell:-

The unitary method first find the value of a single unit

Then finding the necessary value by multiplying the single unit value with the number of units you need to find.

In order to find the value of a single unit from the value of multiple units, devide the value of multiple units with the multiple unit.

Solution:-

Cost of 25 Chocolates = Rs. 137.50

Cost of 1 chocolate

= Rs. 137.50 ÷ 25

= (13750÷ 100) ÷ 25

= 13750 ÷ 100 × 25

= 5.5 Rupees
