Given :-

Supreet takes 5 rounds of a square garden. Find the side of the square if the total distance

covered by her is 1280 m.

To find :-

the side of the square

Solution :-

Total distance covered by supreet in 5 rounds

= 1280 m

Distance covered by her in 1 round = 1250/5 m

= 256 m

let s be the length of the side of the square

∴ Perimeter of square = 4s

∴ 4s = 256 m or s = 256/4 = 64 m

Thus, the lenght of the side of the square

= 64m.

Given

  • Total distance travelled = 1280 m
  • Number of rounds made = 5

To find

  • Side of the square

Solution

◐ Here perimeter of square = total distance travelled divided by the number of rounds made

↦ According to the question,

  • Perimeter of square = 1280/5
  • 4s = 1280/5
  • 4s = 256
  • s = 256/4
  • s = 64

∴ The side of the square is 64 m
