Supreme Court is gardian of Indian constitution because article 13 of the Constitution of India empowers judiciary to stuck down any amendment that is made by Parliament in the Constitution that changes the basic structure of the Constitution. so the Parliament can amend the constitution but they cannot make any amendment that will alter the basic structure of the Constitution so here judiciary is protecting the basic structure of the Constitution
