Supriti and Suhas can complete a piece of work together in 36 days. They start work together but Supriti had to leave 12 days be- fore the work finally got over and hence it took them a total of 45 days to complete the work. In how many days can Supriti alone complete the work?

Answer:

Supriti Alone complete the work in 48 days

Step-by-step explanation:

Supriti and Suhas can complete a piece of work together in 36 days

Supriti and Suhas 1 day work = 1/36

Supriti had to leave 12 days be- fore the work finally got over and  it took them a total of 45 days to complete the work.

=> Supriti left after 45 - 12 = 33 Days

Supriti and Suhas 33 day work = 33/36  = 11/12

Work left after 33 Days = 1 - 11/12 = 1/12

Suhas completed 1/12 work  in    45 - 33 = 12  days

Suhas 1 day Work = 1/144

Supriti 1 day work =  1/36 - 1/144

= (4 - 1)/144

= 3/144

= 1/48

Supriti Alone complete the work in 48 days
