Answer:

Explanation:

Supriya's behavior is not abnormal as her behaviour is not following all the four Ds

1) deviance - her behaviour is different and she is deviant from others

2) distress- means unpleasant acc to que supriya's behaviour is not unpleasant as studying don't cause any type of distress

3) dysfunction - means interfering as she is not interfering in anyone way so she she is not showing any dysfunction

4) danger- her studying don't cause any harm to anyone

So acc to above four ds she is follows only one thing that is deviance which don't conclude that she is abnormal. Abnormal basically means showing maladaptive behaviour which she doesn't posses so her behaviour is not abnormal. ( but acc to the two approaches given 1) deviance from social norms 2) maladaptive behaviour

As she follows 1 only so her behaviour acc to society may be abnormal but in actually she is not abnormal .
